2000 1.8 stumbling

@redmazda sorry to drop off there - I haven’t had a go on this yet I’m afraid.

I saw some mention online that the replacement was a little fiddly, but couldn’t find a Haynes relevant to the 1.8 Mk 2. How did you find the fix to be? Any tips? :grimacing:

Straight forward on mk1 coil pack off and you see it just 19m socket take off unplug replace easy The car drives like a dream it hasn’t moved since 2007 but this was the fault it now idles right doesn’t drink fuel and also clean exhaust due to right mixture

That was it! Replaced the coolant temp sender, and now she’s running great.

For the MkII 1.8 I used … COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
