I like it. The standard supply barely opens a crack.
Did you manage to source it from the UK? All I could find was a “trunk popper” from US but it’s not the cheapest.

sorry the kits from the USA but I got it cheep as I was shipping some other stuff across no tax or import to pay

There is a UK distributor of the part, but it’s still not cheap.

I park my ND on the drive with the boot lid near the pavement. Occasionally I look out of the window and see the boot lid has popped up, probably due to me catching the key button in my pocket while in the house. I am so glad it doesn’t open all the way without manual assistance.

I must say, I’m tempted.

  • How long have you had it fitted
  • Can the coil arm cause any damage, like by rubbing or pressing against the boot lid?

I had them fitted for around 8 months easy to fit no damage caused the part that contacts the boot lid is plastic and has a felt face pad make sure that is fitted felt pad towards the paint work this will stop any rubbing …
