I’m pretty sure you won’t get a crossply, if still available, to fit the MX5. Most of them ended up on old Escorts and Marinas. The talk about cross-plys versus radial tyres is a bit of a red herring these days. Its probably not a good idea to mount wooden spoked wheels to your car either.
