I think to be honest i’ll wait until i find a one near me at right price/right condition. Goof you are spot on, as i already have a Mark 1, i’m hopeful this will help me know the difference between a poor example and a good one:)

I bought my '93 V Spec in august '07 and paid £1800 on a start of £2150. 94k kilometers. Needed a gear knob (£60 at Belvoir) but very happy.
I am sure you will find one nearer, but there may well be a forum member near the car who could do a quick lookie for you.

I didn’t go for that V spec in the end. Just happy to already own a Mark 1 and if i saw another one locally that i liked i may have to have a flutter
