Hi all,
Is there anyone in the MK area who would be willing to let me swap out a MAF sensor to rule out a problem with my car? It’s a very quick test which would take 15mins of your time.
Car is a 1.8l Mk2.5, so anyone with the same would be great

Come on now there must be some one close by so he can test one that is known to work , so we can get rid of this off his list and move on.
It is not the black death and will not be passed from roadster to roadster, he is to far for me to help. and as said will take all of 15 min’s to swap and try and then refit to the kind sole that offers there time and help to a fellow owner.

I have a mk 1 dakar1.8 if thats the same.If you post the numbers on it, i will have a look.

Thanks for the offer, i think the Mk1 and Mk2.5 MAFs are different. The code on mine is FS1E…?

Sorry i can’t help mine has b6bf on it .
If you can’t find a sensor I have a phone number of a mate ( he lives in moulton ) he is a bit good on car electrics and he is not too expensive, if you pm me i will give you his number.
He might have an idea to help you
