I just wanted to share a recent experience with having my 1.8 NC serviced at M-Tech Automotive in Westbury, Wilts.
We’ve had our MX-5 for about several months now, and as it was approaching 75,000 miles, thought we’d book it somewhere for a major service. We were looking around, doing some research, and there was a specialist MX-5 garage we were really keen on, but they were about two hours away from us. It was by luck, whilst mooching through the forum I found a mention of M-Tech, but not related to servicing. A quick search found that they were only sixteen miles from us, so I had a drive over to take a look. I was really impressed with their mechanic who came out to see me, he was incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and it was interesting to learn that three YouTube “influencers” had, and do, use M-Tech, amongst them Jimmy Broadbent (highly recommend visiting his YT channel for videos about his 700bhp NA he uses for Time Attack events!). So, I booked ours in, and was completely satisfied with what they did, their professionalism for such a small garage, and their interest in my car. Apart from servicing and repairs, they’re well known for their fitting and tuning of turbo’s to MX-5’s and other cars; they also are an approved MOT station, so mine’s booked in for that which is in May.
