Advice, should I avoid this car?

Just a heads up that the rear discs look like they need replacing.

Honest enough advert at face value. Not shy on showing rear wing rot on it’s way…always a good sign seller is decently trust worthy. At that mileage though, I hope it comes with fact checkable service and repair records. Especially engine/filter…we all know why. No cambelt to worry over though. It’s cheap “thrills” however.

Yes, I thought it looked like an honest advert too. If the service history checks out and there’s no major rust issues it could be a decent buy. I would probably get an independent inspection myself to verify, but I don’t know how much they cost these days. The dealer offers a small selection of cars and seems to get good reviews. Low numbers of owners too which is another positive. Reason for sale by daughter sounds genuine. Worthy of further investigations I think.

It’s a bit far away that one for me, I had seen this one:

Which looks massively overpriced now compared to this.

I agree, no need to travel great distances if there’s a nearer option that looks promising. I like the styling of the early MK3. Good ones are out there, but you do need to be careful and ensure you know what you’re buying.

From what I’ve seen on FB marketplace there are plenty of options around that price with less miles etc.

Just browse throughly and view a selection of them :+1:t2:

@cexton26 - keep an eye on the Classifieds here too:
