Affordable 17" wheels for NC, no heavier than OEM

That’s funny, I actually never noticed there being a difference between the NC1

and NC2/3

I looked up the available wheels on roadster.blog. If I’m going to chase a set of OEM wheels, unless I have to pay a huge premium I’ll be on the look out for design 132 or the 3rd gen limited wheels.

Have a look at the Motec MCR2 Ultralight also, can get them in matt bronze.

Look again and you’ll discover there’s a different set again that was rolled out on the NC launch car. They look cool too

Yeah, that is 3rd gen limited I named, those are pretty much the ones I’d long to the most if I decide to go down the OEM route.

My apologies, they’re a good looking wheel for sure :+1:

No problem! Appreciate you looking along and you are absolutely right

Just dropped my 25AE wheels ( and strut brace ) off at my usual guy for powder coating
( asked him to do like my old recaro ones )

Did me a great deal :sunglasses::sunglasses::partying_face::partying_face::partying_face:

Pretty much the same as the Sport Venture/Venture in NC3 flavour.
A set for sale not long ago on Facebook Mk3 MX-5 parts, decent price.

Any idea if there is a UK supplier for the Motec MCR2 wheels please?

Maybe I should get a Facebook account after all then, hate it though :stuck_out_tongue: Prices I have found range from 500-1200 euro’s. Then a powdercoat, will probably also set me back another 300-400 euro’s.

Why dont you just refurb OEM and powder coat? I got my OEM wheels sat in garage and i got JR7s on at the moment
