Alarm Fault

    I have an intermittent fault with the alarm. It goes off but doesn’t respond to the key fob to turn it off. Light’s dont flash just an alarm goes of in the boot. The car is a 2014 hardtop 2.0. Any ideas please

If the indicators don’t flash it suggests a trigger due to the siren’s internal battery back up. The siren thinks it’s been disconnected. It’s either loosing its 12 volt feed for some reason or its earth connection or there is an internal fault with the siren unit. A tough one to diagnose reliably. Maybe try a used siren (not sure how much they are) if they’re cheap enough and see if that fixes it.
