I want to change my tyres from 50 profile to 55 in order to use Continental all season tyres for commuting.
apparently i’ll lose 1cm between the tyre and the wheel arch, does this make a massive difference? (will it scrape?)

Well I had mine lowered 3cm and didn’t scrape. Depends if yours has been lowered, measure the arch gap, in standard form they have a generous gap.
