Alternative Tech Day...A wish list!

I thought it might be quite useful to express a ‘wish list’ for the alternative tech day. There are so many things I would like to learn, but these are some of my priorities:

  1. How to use a quote when responding to a comment from someone.
  2. How to upload photos
  3. How to create a profile on the main site
  4. Understand a little bit more about the structure of the forum and the different sections, so I know where I should post a message and why?
  5. How to save other peoples’ photos and add them to my own photo library
  6. Find out what a ‘tag’ is (other than the thing I cut off of new items once I have been shopping!)

Hope this opens the discussion on the objectives of the alternative tech day and encourages other people to nominate their ideas!

thanks Jude, good start… [:D]

How to put a url link in your sig that actually works…

mine work, just use standard bb code as below but without the *

[*url] www.havemorefun.co.uk [/url]
[*url] www.merlotmotorsport.co.uk [/url]

Or standard HTML, then you can have them opening new windows and so on, like mine.

Even better is a link with descriptive text rather than just the url on it’s own…

[*url=http://www.theurl.com]Some text describing the url[/*url]

(without the asterisks of course)

Understanding any of the above would be good too!!

how to access the forum from a pub in Bristol on a psp?

wow! it works!

I’d be happy just to be able to do a simple “Ctrl V” and it work, rather than pissing around with the correct formatting.
Sorry.
