Annoying wing ding

I’ve acquired a minor dent in the top of my n/s rear wing.

What’s really annoying is that it looks as though it would just pop out if I could get behind it – but there’s no way to access the back of the panel that I can find.

Any suggestions?

i dont know if you can reach it from takeing soft top out or if i was you i would get in touch with dent master they have all kinds of tricks like thet can drill an airline hole and pull it out or suckers to pull it give them a call free estermate

You could always try this technique, not used it myself.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItSWESEVOUA

hi dave,

had same ding as you ,but on drivers side, and about 150 mm back from door post, was told by two repairers that it would be very awkward to access area, and both recomended filling and respray area, i wasnt very happy to go down this line…

about three months ago, my doughter had a dentmaster guy round to look at damage to her freelander, i was there, and asked him jokingly, dont suppose you can do anything with this,  he looked at it,  and said for £40 quid i can, i said have a go then,

in about 10 mins, it was done,  he used a raised brace to straddle the dent, then fitted a screw cup sucker to centre of brace, put some adhesive into sucker cup, screwed it down onto the dent, waited a couple of mins, then gently screwed outwards on the brace, and pulled the dent out, took a couple of times, then  put some anti adhesive solution to area to break adhesive seal, then polished area, GOOD AS NEW  a great job   (note,i think he said it was a wax rather than an adhesive he used,  anyway he sure new his job

hope the above helps dave,  give it a try  regards  leemarb

 Thanks for replies.

Other more pressing mechanical troubles have acquired top priority at the moment.

I’ll pick this up when I can.
