My thoughts were the windows got a lot of use. I’d be roof down even for my 6 mile commute, so they got used at least 4 times most days. I do remember the crappy little plastic things around the base of the front quarter lights peeling away at some point. There’s a theme with crappy little things on this car!

If you look at the one people got out when they replaced with new ones, the wires are all rusted up.
I’d say I’ve done no different than you ref windows (commutes might be longer, granted). Who knows though, using anything more usually ends up with premature life!
