Apologies for wrong year on June newsletter

Hopefully you would of all received your June area newsletter. I have to apologise as I have got my years mixed up it states 2020 ! But I can assure you it is meant to be June 2021 ! Apart from my mix up in years it is completely current and up to date :+1::+1:

That is fine. I did notice, but had to check the calendar to be sure it was wrong.

What does “would of” mean here?

I will jump to the side of our Area Coordinator.
It is local dialect and is a true representation of the area. :innocent:

Pretty obvious I think…

English is my third language, and as many have said on here, “every day is a school day”, so please enlighten me so I can laugh with you.

Sorry, please accept my apologies.
It didn’t occur to me that English may not be your first language.
It means would have…

Apology accepted.
It’s not the first time I see this “would of” written on a thread, but it’s the first time I see it on what is likely to be a short thread, hence my asking about it for the first time on this thread.
As it turns out, I think it’s like so many of those spelling or syntax errors I read on here then: it isn’t worth laughing about.
Because if foreigners made those errors, they would likely be told to go home, even if/when England has been their home for over half of their life.
