When you had the alignment done by Paul did you have your car corner weighted?
It is worthwhile, also getting Paul to explain the benefits is a plus.

As I alluded to earlier having mismatched tyres will give the symptoms you describe, happened to me on a previous sports car. The construction and rubber makeup will be different between the makes giving you the symptoms you describe. You could try swapping the tyres front to rear to see if it changes the handling. But ultimately you will probably have to bite the bullet and purchase some more tyres.
