Our dd is a VW T-Roc and that also activates the brake lights continuously while stationary if the parking brake is set to ‘Auto’, which is why I never use the ‘Auto’ setting… creates unnecessary dazzle in low light and at night to waiting drivers behind, especially if also raining. Using the electric parking brake manually while stationary doesn’t activate the brake lights. I detest electric parking brakes for a variety of reasons, but hard to find a new car without one. A previous BMW One series we owned activated the brakes and brake lights if using cruise control whenever the ‘Set’ speed increased downhill due to gravity only.
