are the cheap strut braces on ebay any good?

anyone fitted one of these do they fit any good?

I’ve not fitted one of those, I fitted a proper mazda one, which was pretty darn good, but I also fitted a bottom brace which seemed to do alot more than the top brace, so it might be wiser investing in a bottom one first.

ah right cool, im making a lower one this weekend as we have steel and welders here, just dont have time to make a upper one as theres more to it.

anyone else used the cheapy ebay brace?

Are you talking about lower strut braces at the front or back??

Just I think I have one at the back but not the front??? Waht do they look like???

Should I get one???

I’ve got one. Most noticeable thing is when I go over uneven road such as railway track crossings and potholes. Car seems more together at the front and doesn’t rattle about.

Looks good and polishes up nicely too

Bottom front brace, it’s basically a bar that bolts through holes where the lower control arms mount on the chassis. The front end feels nice a taught now with a lot less ‘scuttle shake’ over bumps and what not. Plus it was pretty cheap and took all of 2 minutes to fit.

Got it off a chap on another forum and I am very pleased with it. Simple, cheap and effective.

Been checking my car and I think it already has the lower braces already fittted…

Have a look and tell me what you think???

Yep, yous all braced up underneath.

cheers for the replies guys, think i’ll make the lower ones first
