Armrest Lock

 Hi All,

Month into MX5 mk1 ownership and the sun’s been shining literally. Question, if anyone could advise, lock on the armrset won’t turn, think I read somewhere that there’s a valet key but out the 3 I got (one diamond studded and worth a picture!) when I bought the car none work. Could well be broken but doesn’t look like it’s been forced/bust.

Any advice much appreciated…

On my Mk1 (and previous Mk1s) the ignition key operates the doors, centre armrest, boot, and glovebox locks (as well as the ignition!).

Try your usual key and find out what it does work, and what it doesn’t.
