Well it didn’t take long before we started to really miss our old Mk1 V Spec BRG & Tan after it came to an abrubt and unpleasant end on the A1 just before Christmas. So I have pursuaded the current Mrs Margojerrycat to let our brief sojourn in the land of (soon to get expensive) Audi A2 ownership to come to its natural end and to allow an unscheduled withdrawel from the house maintenance budget.
Over the weekend we have bought a 2000 W Mk2 in black with black leather, 59K miles and black hard top (coming off as soon as it gets home). We should be picking it up either Thursday or Friday this week after its has the usual service, visit to the paint shop to remove a few minor scuffs on the back bumber & a full valet etc, just in time for the weekend and the start of all those unecessary trips to pick “something” up from the shops and those unecessarily long and twisting routes home!!.
So here’s to the start of another long and beautiful relationship and hopefully many more top down journey’s
