It isnāt BRG.
In some of the pics/vids is looks like the old NC Dolphin Grey colour.
Reading around a bit, it seems that better green on the showroom car isnāt the new Zinc Green, but a limited edition of 5 car in a different green.
Iām not that sold on either of them. I prefer the lighter colour, but it could do with being a bit greenier. That said, Iām colourblind, so what do I know.
Adding further support to the internet ātheoryā that the nicer Green in the showroom video ISNāT the new 50 shades of grey āgreenā, shown in the press release, the showroom green car video itself is now 7 months old.
I quite like the new green. Doesnāt get close to being as nice as the red, but I like it. But I prefer the darker green in that video of one inside the showroom.
ātakes its inspiration from the color and texture of zinc chromate primer, an undercoat used to enhance the durability of industrial products. It translates the rational functional beauty into a sense of toughness expressed through color and texture.ā
Given how soft our paint is, thereās an irony to this press release description.
So people grumble about the choices available in top coat and the solution is to come up with a colour that looks like primer. You couldnāt make it up could you?
And when finally released, theyād still somehow make it look a shade of grey
Decent colour, looking smart. Not with black wheels though, needs something more jazzy for a bit of contrast.
Mazda are following their earth tone strategy but I can see (or rather cannot see) a downside when night driving.
Like their pavement blending greys ![]()
Nooooooooo!!

Whatās wrong with bringing back spirited green as on the sport blacks
Now thatās a proper green ![]()

Quite. Bruce was camoād for protection for his forays into Englishsheer raids. He wuzz on 'em before they noticed. Stelff loik innit? Analogue rocks ā¦could not be tracked! ![]()
The factory Highland Green was a bit Marmite at the time. For me, it needed more of a cream interior to lift it.
That mountain behind me is the Saes border. Unfortunately the first town over it is Hereford and quite well garrisoned
From all the pics and videos I canāt quite work out if there are two greens in the offering or the light playing tricks. I definitely prefer the earlier pics, a lighter green, the darker green look too much like BRG ish, been there done that colour.
