I’m thinking of doing a short three or four day road trip around Brecon and would appreciate any recommendations on interesting routes.

If you like a walk when you pass through Brecon go on A470 towards Merthyr Tydfil stop on top of the road climb and park up and walk up pen a van then after that go down road towards Merthyr only about a mike and you will see a turn off to hirwaun you could go to the Penderyn distillery and then only half a mile opposite the distillery up hill is a great pub called the red lion it’s an ancient pub great food you can go on line and take a look at these places there is a farm aroubd the corner that does b&b so if you like a pint they do many local ales the pub is great all stone floors big fire place then from there you could go over rhigoes and bwlch mountain to aberavon then onto Swansea area visit mumbles oxwich Ect and stay a night on the sea front ? Enjoy keep an eye if South Wales area are out on a run on a Sunday when you are visiting as they go around and stop for nice food any more info just ask
