British Drift Championship 2009 - MX5s!

This year there will be two MX5s competing in the British Drift Championship 2009 – my much abused mk1 1.6 turbo (it’s 5th consecutive year of competition!) and also Jamie K’s lovingly prepared mk1. Please come along and watch, I’m always happy to chat in the pits and I’m sure Jamie will be happy to talk about the secret stuff he’s done to his car over winter.

I got some decent scores last year and I know Jamie will help give the Nissans a good kicking in the Semi-Pro class, especially at his two home rounds.

Below is some blurb and a calendar cut&paste from the DriftWorks BDC forum - round 1 should be spectacular with a 100mph 1st corner!

BDC 09 is structured to take in both demanding 100mph tracks and smaller more technical venues. As a result, BDC 09 drivers will be tested, challenged and judged across all aspects of drifting competition. BDC 09 Venues are also chosen with our spectators in mind. This years venues will offer a safe yet close-up view of all of the action and the 2009 BDC paddock will be arranged in order to invite our spectators to interact with teams, sponsors & drivers.
