Cadwell evening 14th Aug with Javelin.

It lashed it down for the entire evening at our last Caddy evening, then stopped with a few minutes track time left.

So yes no rain please.

I’ll be the first time I’ve been since they added the stupid bridge!

not long now Laughing

Been counting the days down for weeks lol ,fingers crossed the rain keeps away dont fancy going out for the first time on a wet track…really looking forward to it though Smile

All had a great time and survived for another day.

Rusty rex that little honda was a pretty little thing.

Great evening. First time out for the MK3 2L sport, performed well in fairly standard setup, except for Yellowstuff pads and ATE superblue racing fluid

A little to much body roll, will be sorted with meisters and then a trip to rodders for a few power mods in the near future. does anyone know if the RX8 ARB’S will fit staright onto a MK3, i have been told they will.

My son came along and drove aswell, his first trackday. I was slightly anxious sat in the passenger seat, but after a few laps and a slight visit to the grass he got better, not something i want to do on a regular basis, dad and son in same car is sometimes not a good combination.Sealed

Enjoyed it though.

By the way Deano letting neil set your car up is probably the best mod you will do to your MK1, he did mine the difference is amazing. also getting the ride height right is critical to, if you have coilovers that is.

If the kids are in your car they need to be in the passenger seat. I don’t think my heart could take the stress lol. He was going well for his first time on track, just don’t tell him Laughing

I wont i have told him he has a lot to learn Lol. I dont think my heart will stand it again either.

Cheers Nedski. It wasnt a happy bunny after just the (somewhat steady) sighting laps though - steam from under the bonnet. Couldnt find the source, but suspecting now that it was just the overflow, no expansion tank on it to be certain, so thats something to add and keep an eye on. Didnt want to risk the poor thing seeing as it had to drive home too, got to respect its 46 years. Still, we could hear it a mile off giving it 9000+ rpm trying to keep up. Laughing Itll be back one day.

You guys looked to be having fun, I think it was a black Mk1 that seemed to be going particularly well. Ill keep an eye out for it at Blyton…

Only got pics of the Honda, but heres one for general eye candy -
