Cam Cover gasket failed?

I used Loctite SI 5660 grey silicone. £6 from Halfords is one place you can get it.

It works where water/glycol resistance is required but is also recommended for flanges with permanent oil contact, eg sumps, so it’s just the job for the cam cover.
