I have recently bought a 1991 MX5 Eunos which needs light restoration work. We don’t have a garage so I am contemplating getting a cover for it. However, this is the car I use every day, and most of the covers I have seen state not to put them on if the car is wet. I don’t know what to do! I would like to protect the car as much as possible, but am not sure if putting a cover on a damp car will damage it. The kind of cover I am looking at is:

Do any of you have any recommendations/thoughts on what would be best (other than buying a bigger house with a garage [:)])?
Thanks
Nicky
Looks a bit pricey… I bought one recently (recommended on here) great elastic cover £60… I will try and find the link.
However no matter how “breathable” a cover says it is I dont think any of them are actually that good at all for applying when the car is damp or wet.
I am sure someone who knows a bit more than me will be along shortly to add or correct me.
Hi go to www.classicadditions.com I bought a half cover that covers the roof and rear window, it is waterproof and can be applied even if its been raining. It has covers for the wing mirrors and is brill, go for it, around £40 for a MX5. I love mine.
