Central Locking - not always locking

Every winter my car has a problem with locking the doors. Its strange, I turn the key to the left, it lock then quickly unlocks.  Eventually I get it right by trying it on the passenger door, but its such a pain as I have to keep double checking when I leave the car.

What causes this.  Its fine the rest of the year.

It unlocks on it’s own because the unit thinks a “sender” is unlocked - could be lock is in need of a lube - bit of a pain other than spraying into the lock/catch area when door is open. Ideally you need the door card off to get right into the mechanism.
Only other thing could be is the actuator rod might need some fine tuning - not a job for a cold morning either! (Door card off again I’m afraid…).

I opened the door card earlier in the year and checked it over.  I sprayed it with lube as  I was taking the speakers out at the time.  I also have all my locks and catches covered in motor grease too.  When it freezes over I can get passenger door open but it takes ages for driver door to unfreeze so sometimes I have to fiddle with inside latch  for about fifiteen minutes before it unlocks.

I get exact same prob with drivers door - only when it’s very frosty. 15 mins into journey it unlocks ok.
