Chipex

Anybody used the chipex touch up paint system if so how good is it

I used it on my NB with mixed results. For very small stone chips it seems to work very well and is virtually impossible to tell there was a chip there. However, for bigger chips and scratches it didn’t work very well. That may be because mine is a pearlescent colour and therefore more difficult to blend in so the chipex paint looks slightly darker.

I have seen it used on black and blue coloured cars and it seems to work very well, possibly because the dark colour blends better and small blemishes are less visible generally.

Tried it on my A-class Merc. Found it to be Ok on smaller chips but not as good as they suggest it is. I had some bigger chips and scratch’s on the rear bumper where it didnt work that well at all. Main problem was that the colour was far from an exact match for the light blue it was supposed to be

My mx5s colour is velocity red I think I will give chipex a miss and try a bog standard touch up paint cheaper option thanks all
