Cleaning Carpet Once Removed

I have always used G101 for pretty much any interior surface as its a good all rounder. Just make sure you dilute it and wear gloves if your using it for a prolonged period.

With carpets just soak it in the stuff, hard brush the entire area and then jet wash down.

Great thanks, i’ll have a look into that G101. Did you use it on the carpet as well? 

I read something about not using hard brushes on carpet as it can damage the fibres, they’re probably referring to a wire brush though… 

Is there any specific tools that are handy? I’ve just watched a few youtube videos and the people were using about 10 different brushes and things.

When I replaced the carpet in my car a couple of years ago I used an old Vax wet and dry carpet cleaner with a small, roughly 4" wide, head.

It always amazed me the colour of the water being sucked out, something like a really dark coffee colour most of the time.

It used to leave to surface slightly damp, and at this time of the year would be dry in a day.

I’ve thought about using a proper carpet cleaner machine, but unfortunately i don’t have one, might see if i have a friend that won’t mind me borrowing theirs. 

I’m hoping the coming “heatwave” will help me out.
