Clip for rear arch liner

Hello

I have just bought my first MX-5, and very impressed am I !! It is a 2007 2litres sport so an NC but I don’t know which one.

I have removed the rear wheel arch liners and the screw seized in the plastic clip at the bottom of the liner. I got the clip out but could not remove the screw.

Does anyone know where i could get one or the part number. I have had a good look on the internet including vehicleclips.co.uk as it is popular on this site.

Is there an online parts catalog that I could look at ?

Thanks Geoff

I managed to get all the clips from vehicleclips.co.uk

Take the one out of the other side and use the measurements to select the one on their site.

There are parts diagrams here

Hi Geoff, and welcome to MX-5 ownership. It’s a fun ride😁
At 2007 yours will be an NC1. Mines a year older.

If you’re planning to do any work on your car which involves removing liners, panels etc it would be worth getting one of these handy assortment packs. The wheel arch liner ones are in there and others for various other things on the car.

Hi

Thank you for the help. I telephoned vehicalclips and spoke to them about this clip. They looked into it for me and unfortunately they do not have this particular clip, however they gave me the Mazda part number it is

C10051SJ3A £4.70 +Vat

Mazda only have 1 in the UK so there would be a wait time for the other to be brought in.

I therefore intend to if possible drill them out and tap them so I can use stainless steel fasteners as I see someone else had done.

Good advice about having spare clips available as I intend to be doing more playing with the car

 :+1:

Another vote for drilling and tapping them here. The new mazda items have a plain hole in them and the new self tapping screw from mazda is a nightmare to get to cut into it. Cheap a2 stainless m5 screw and penny washers do a good job.
