Right, so Iām going to go with an engine swap over refining my current. As I can have the replacement refurbed pre instillation without the worry of stripping mine to find the head is cracked.
But there comes the decision, another standard 1.8, or a vvt. After speaking to some guys the vvt is roughly double the cost. But will include an me442 so future options is great. Plus the power increase

As It looks like coolant may now be also getting into the oil so a bearing failure is imminent. So using it as an excuse to upgrade
