difference in tonneau cover fixings

Hi i have had a look around and cant seem to find the answer to my question which is what is the difference between the tonneau cover fixing between a mk1 na or mk 2 nb i have heard its the press stud fastener size  but dont know which is which thanks in advance

The Mk 1 as lift tops like the old mgb’s and midgets two on each side, and the Mk 2’s have large press studs two on each side, everythimg else is the same so you can swap them(same thread)and then put the Mk 1’s on a Mk 2’s and the Mk 2’s on the Mk 1’s, depending on what you win on that there ebay.

On later Mk1s, the strap that wraps around the hood frame was deleted. Mk1 covers use Tenex studs, but Mk2s use Prestas.

6 different suppliers in Japan were used for the hood covers, so fit varies considerably.

On the MK2 do you know what size large Prestas were used on the tonneau fabric?

Holy necro thread.
The anwer in No. Probably best to start a new thread on this topic.
