Driving in France

Hi

I have just joined the forum and would like to ask for advice about whether or not there are kits available that can be applied to pop-up headlights to my MK1 Eunos Roadster or are the headlights adjustable to suite driving in France.

If there are either kits or adjustments available where from or how to make the adjustments.

Hi Mike,

Am unaware of anyway you can adjust headlights as the beam pattern is reflectedby the lens/reflector itself.

Halfords sell stick on beam deflectors that fit onto the glass which blocks the beam from shining to the left thus giving you a flat beam pattern. Thats the cheapest legal option.

Hope that helps.

Hi again Mike.

Sorry for not replying earlier but…

I have been to Halfords and as far as I can tell my model is not covered (Mk1 1993) in the range of headlight deflectors. Is there anything more definate in the way of help you can give me.

I have managed to find the plastic pack of an old set of deflectors in the boot of my wife’s car that we once used. The instructions were still in the plastic wallet and MX 5’s from 1998 are covered, none earlier.

Nothing special about a Mk1 for headlamp deflectors. Just need a kit for 7" headlamps, or use black insulating tape to mask out the beam.

Just use some tape to mask the beam. If you park up to a flat surface you can see the headlight beam raises up on the right hand side of the beam. Mask it so it is flat across the beam and job done.
