E10 fuel soon with us

Been reading up on the E10 fuel due to be on the forecourt in the autumn. It’s not looking good for early models if you believe everything you read. I’ve owned my 1991 Mk1 for 19 years and spent a fortune keeping it in good condition but it seems that the new E10 destroys everything from steel, rubber, seals and related fuel pipes. Would appreciate opinions on this subject.

There’s a huge topic already started on this. General thoughts are use Super higher octane which will still be E5
