He he just got back from a drive in my 5. Top down, lovely bright early morning sunshine and mild air, empty roads and my Mark 1 to play with[:)]
Early morning Sunday drives are what it’s all about! set off at 7 am and said to myself, right just round the block then Ben, an hour and ten minutes later i arrive back home grinning from ear to ear[:D]
There’s a lovely set of B roads behind where i live, all twisty corners and long straights so perfect for testing the 5’s handling. I’ve never really tried to push my car but i had a go this morning and was flying round a few of those corners, the cornering really is as good as people say! it literally hugs the road and i had a taxi behind me going in to one bend, needless to say it was a dot in my rear view by the time i came out of the bend!
Wow is all i can say, this morning’s drive has made my weekend, i rarely drive my car but this morning has shown me that the MX5 really is a super fun sports car, go and enjoy whilst the weather’s nice my fellow 5 'ers[:)]
I saw a silver Roadster a couple of times with the hood up?!!! i waved to him but didn’t get anything back, shame really as i felt like flashing my lights and saying, GET THAT ROOF DOWN!!! ha ha!!! good times!
I’m off to give my car a good wash and wax now he he!!!
