So recently ordered some greenstuff pads and new discs,the pads come with shims,however I have ordered a service pack from MX-5 parts as I.wanted new calliper clips,the pack includes new oem shims,would you use the oem ones or the shims that come with the pads?
You generally don’t need shims with Greenstuff because of the material the backing is made of. I run them on my NB without any shims and no issues.
so decided to replace the front pads and discs with Green stuff, the EBC pads come with single shims, i also have an OEM fixing kit that includes Mazda shims, there are 2 shims per pad, would you recommend i use the Mazda shims on the EBC pads or the single shim supplied with the pads?
So just to close this from my end, I decided to fit the greenstuff shims and leave the OEM ones, so far appears to be ok,no issues
