This only happens sometimes and it only happens on my work PC, not my home PC. (Maybe that’s a karmic way of telling me not to use the internetz at work.)
When I reply to a message I often find the message window appears in the Plain Text format (so “
” is displayed, I have to type “
” to get a linefeed, the toolbars are missing and the “quote” button doesn’t work). If I go to my profile, it still shows the Enhanced mode is set. Reapplying the Enhanced setting sometimes temporarily fixes it and sometimes it doesn’t.
{hits F5}, {pause}, “Done, but with errors on page.”, {pause}, “Done.” Still in plain text.{hits F5}, {pause}, “Done, but with errors on page.”, {pause}, “Done.” Still in plain text.{hits F5}, {pause}, “Done, but with errors on page.”, {pause}, “Done.” Still in plain text.{hits F5}, {pause}, “Done, but with errors on page.”, {pause}, “Done.” Still in plain text.[:(]
I’ve had this a few times too. So this afternoon I decided to log out and back in again, hoping that might help. Then I couldn’t log back in at all! Not sure what I did but eventually managed to log in and then when I posted a message I got the toolbars back and the ‘Error on page’ had disappeared.
Since the format keeps reverting to Plain Text for me, and often refuses to be changed back, is there a handy guide to how to apply features like bold, italic, pictures etc manually?
I’ve found that “
” starts a new paragraph, and “/” start and end italic text. What about links, attached pictures, font sizes and colours etc? Is there a guide somewhere, as every forum seems to use a slightly different method.
