have bought an 05 plate last week that came with a tape player decided to take it out as have ordered a cd player on line later that day went to start the car only to find the eml on and stayed on is this a coincidence or should i be worried took it for a drive and its still running great any ideas?

This is going to be a MK2.5 car with onboard diagnostics.
There will be associated error code(s).
You need to get hold of an OBDII error code reader and plug it into the diagnostic port that sits just under the dash near where the drivers right knee rests.
These readers are cheap to buy if you or someone you know does not already have one. Look up MS309 on ebay, around a tenner delivered IIRC.
