Does sound transmission related. I would check fluid level and change it if it’s not been done since new. But could be the trans oil pump worn out.
Hi,
I did change the automatic transmission fluid. The thing is when I drop into neutral it still does it and I assume the automatic gearbox is not engaged at that point.
Thanks.
It can still be the torque converter or hydraulic pump, even in neutral. You could try an additive such as Lucas Transmission Fix or Liqui Moly ATF Additive to reduce the noise but I’ve never tried this so can’t guarantee it will work.
Anyone with any other suggestions as to what this could be?

No idea as to what it could be, but really I’d say you need either another person to do the listening to track it down while you’re in the drivers seat (or vice-versa) or one of those kits you can get with listening devices you attach to different parts of the car that you can switch between to hear where it’s loudest from and in that way track down the noise.
