Europat One Man Bleed Kit

Hi all!
Bought one of these kits from halfords today to bleed my brakes. Does any one on here have one to hand to compare before I start on the car as I think mine is missing something in the bottle end! Mine has a ball bearing inside the clear pipe and a rubber gromet around the clear pipe just above the bearing, looking at it I can’t work out what stops the bearing coming out of the pipe when I press the pedal, and leaving the pipe just open (and not non-return) when I release the pedal??

That looks just like mine, Its just a pipe with a hole in the side, A rubber sleeve over the hole and a ball bearing to seal the end.

The pressure needed to force brake fluid out the the side hole and past the rubber sleeve is a lot less than the pressure needed to pop out the bearing. The sleeve’s got that step in it so that the thicker bit that isn’t over the hole grips the inner pipe and the bit over the hole is thin enough that it requires little force to operate as a one way valve. It’s a beautifully simple idea that does the job perfectly.

I much prefer the Easi-bleed pressurised system - faster and easier to do the job on your. If there is a downside to the Easi-bleed it is that it is easy to get through a lot of brake fluid. I change the brake fluid on my TVR annually (usually before doing a track day) with an Easibleed, and have been using it for a decade now. Bombproof!
