My audio equipment came today… single din alpine stereo… alpine 6x9 door speakers and tweeters.
I have a busy weekend for me ! Cannot wait.
Just wanted to put a post up as I felt a tad lonely. (Get used to me… im fragile and still a looser )
Hey! Well done on getting yourself some lovely Alpine gear…
If it’s any comfort at all, I get lonely and lack some confidence… You can PM me anytime if you like…
Today, just giving the MX-5 a bit of a clean as usually (My one act of OCD!) Chatted and drank tea with my neighbours who are also friends
You take care…
Rob
Would be nice to have a friend… my mx5 need a proper detailing… but I dont have the funds for that at all…
Will give her a clean every now.and then… and I dont know how to private message
A few good friends is what I prefer… My car gets a lot of cleaning, but I’m no “detailer”, where many on here use machine polishers and various products to remove scratches/swirl marks etc, specialist polishes and ceramic coating products… Mine is very much basic washing, polishing and a waxing and the methods I use would horrify most on here…!
I opened up here a while back about my clinical depression, and the replies I got were so kind, understanding and in no way judgemental… Other members freely discussed their own “issues”, and I realised I’m not the only one on here who is “An Open Book”… That can be problematic sometimes…!
Rob
Now you have all that nice gear, it would be good just to go a little further and get a bit of Dynamat (or similar) and stick it on the door skin inside the door. It will stop you having a door skin that rattles when you turn up the volume.
If you’ve not come across this, you can read up on it HERE
Allo allo.
From your previous post mentioning your teens, I would think you know that having people around you can often lead to disappointment and distress.
You will meet the right people. Meanwhile, keep on growing, keep on getting to know yourself, and learn to accept yourself.
I posted about my day yesterday in the “where have you been today” thread. It was a lovely day with my shiny car and my partner, who lives 110 miles away, and whom I had to wait until I was 46 years old to meet. I did kiss a hundred frogs before then mind…
Anyway, I also watched my national team looking average at the Euro 2020. That was my day.
I hope you have a good one today.
Hey, I have been there but fortunately for me I had good family, wife and kids around me that pulled me back from the edge. Just focus on the positives and enjoying the MX5. Get out with some of your area club mates and have a great time.
I’ve been on my own a very long time… (really bad history)
That’s a different story in itself… im actually at the point where a new relationship is quite scary !
Its literally just me, myself and I now… ive usually always kept myself to myself… love riding my bike and now cannot wait for the car. I’m just using my CX3 atm as the mx5 is parked up… I’ll get ere eventually.
You will get there indeed.
It sounds like you’ve been hurt in love but now you know you do not want anyone to take advantage of you again, which is exactly right.
Still, there will always be some scary aspects in a relationship, that’s why relationships are both challenging and rewarding.
Re your cars, I really like the CX-3. What colour is yours?
I get was your saying about relationships, and agree, being lonely is far more preferable than being in the wrong relationship… From my experience the scars take a long time to heal…!

I went for a ride out with some biker mates but in the Hairdryer.
Got lots of waves from fellow Hairdrivers and thoroughly enjoyed the drive to Instow and back to Exeter. The N. W. Devon roads are just wonderful with 3 dimensional open, sweeping ribbons of tarmac and fabulous views.
A great day
