Nice to see a solution to this. But what odds are you giving on finding the original before the replacement arrives? It would be a certainty in my garage.
Most every car these days has alloy wheels. You would be exceptionally unlucky to have someone jack your car up to steal wheels these days. You only have to look on eBay to see that the value of second hand wheels is not great. If some one was making a career out steeling wheels, they would have a set of master keys anyway.
One of the biggest nuisances in changing tyres is customers that turn up with no locking wheel nut key.
I have also lost my locking wheel nut. Tried the old socket trick then realise it has a spin collar cannot locate the locking wheel but code anywhere i have a bunch of letters and numbers a paper no idea what they mean

Had the same problem when i bought my car no locking wheel nut key!!! went to mazda dealer near me who keep a full set of keys and removed it for me and gave me the code number
That means nothing in respect of locking wheel nuts.
