So been a long search for decent mk1, making a long journey tomorrow to see a mk1 wonder if anyone on here knows this vehicle

Looks to me…a lot of the par-for-course MOT fails are down to the thing not getting enough exercise for many years.
You know by now what to look for…spotting dodgy rot fixes etc.
Good luck…but get underneath & get dirty!
