Paul from Glasgow here. I inherited an NC from my dad a few years back, and have been ducking in and out of here since, but without posting anything.
I’ve been on and off forums over the years, used to do as much maintenance as possible at home with past cars, then got lazy and payed someone. Now the bug has re-awoken since doing a major service (99 youtube vids later) so thought I’d check in.
It’s a MK3.5 hardtop, 5 gear, copper red car I drive. Been debating over the years whether or not to divulge the following staement…
Number plate is MX54ART, spaced as MX5 4 ART, showplates but haven’t been pulled yet !
When my dad owned it, my brother bought him the plate as a 70th Birthday present, as he used to be an Art teacher/artist, and now I own it. I get a few flashes/looks wherever I go, probably because I’m a tool of a driver, but I like to think it’s the reggyy !!!
I was digging through the paperwork, and the old reggy was LM58PLX. Thought I’d throw this out there on the off chance that someone recognises/remembers it ?
@YoanH Just look for the camera flashes, got caught on the A92 earlier tonight.
My 15 minutes of fame is running out pronto !
Also, there’s a red Mk1 that I keep passing, around Blairingone, on my way up to Glenrothes.
Pretty sure he gave me a wave this morning, so if you’re out there, I’ll do my best to be ready tomorrow !
