Hello, I’m new around here and should be picking up my first ever MX-5 very soon. I’m going to look at it on Sunday and failing any problems, it’ll be serviced etc and then I’ll get it soon afterwards.
It’s all very exciting, I’ve wanted one for years and never took the plunge before. I’ve never had any soft top car before so that’s going to be me like a kid for a while afterwards I’d imagine!
I pretty much knew I wanted a Euphonic and after looking through pages and pages of cars, only one jumped out as being ‘the one’. It’s a Black Euphonic 1.8i, just love that red/black leather interior, really eye catching and I liked the wheels and the better spec stereo and all that.
My history has mainly been with Nissan cars including some heavy modifications but that’s all calmed down these days and I’m looking forward to having another Mazda and ust enjoying it as it is. My other car is a Mazda 6MPS so these two will sit really nicely together
The good old British weather will of course lash rain down on my first day I’m sure but I’m really looking forward to getting that roof down and having some fun!
Great forums, will enjoy spending some time reading up on everything!
Yeah some lovely roads here, should be great fun when the weather is nice having a jaunt around Windermere etc. Imagine I’d pass a good handful of other 5’s out there!
Why don’t you join the NWoc, (North West owners club) i’m guessing it’s your local group, we have regular runs around the Lakes, then you can experience the 5 as it should be driven along with like minded people.
Greetings - love the Lake District - go there every autumn - caught the VSCC Lakeland Rally this year - lovely to see the old Bugattis etc. thrashing around the fell roads
We went along to see the car today and managed to strike a good deal with the garage so it’s a done deal, hoorah!
I collect the car next Sunday, really looking forward to this!
Looks in great condition, sounds nice, all interior is great condition and it’s going to be lots of fun.
Only couple of minors were the wheels were peeling a little bit and a few kerb marks on them. The stereo wasn’t working although the guy did say it had been working before so he would sort it. Would have liked to hear how that sounds. Couldn’t see any sign of the remote for it either.
Really surprised at how much headroom is in there when you pull the roof over, it’s like a tardis in there!
What do people generally do with the cover piece for the roof, just stash it away somewhere or keep fastening it on and off all the time?
Can’t wait till next week now, really want to just get out in this thing and see why everyone rates these so highly!
Mind in the garage they had some other amazing cars, still only had eyes for the 5 though!
Yeah really looking forward to it! Just hope they can sort that stereo out for the full Euphonic effect! Would be nice if the rain could just hold off so I can drive home with the roof down, it’s a really nice drive aswell from where the car is to home!
