I am looking to drop the height of my ND RF and after looking at an upgrade to the springs (and deciding they would only drop the height by 30mm) I have landed on upgrading to adjustable height coilovers.
I do think I could give the job a good crack, however the amount of deconstruction of the interior (in the boot in particular) puts me off. Does anyone know of a good fitter in central Scotland they could recommend?
Thanks
The ‘deconstruction’ in the boot is very easy. All the trim is held in with simple fasteners and is a doddle to take out and put back. It is the easiest part of the job.

I believe some people also change the front engine brace ( assuming yours is 2.0l and comes with one as standard )
some of the aftermarket braces are designed to provide easier access to adjustments

Thanks mate, yep I’ve watched plenty YouTube videos - it’s the amount of stuff you have to take out is what’s causing me the fear! It’s like I’d happily paint a wall, but introduce wallpaper and I’m no longer interested! It feels like too much trouble! I know I’ll end up doing it!
Put all the little bits (fasteners, nuts etc) in a couple of old mugs or spray can tops.
That way most of them will be prevented from running away and hiding.

Yes it’s the 2.0, and I have already changed the brace for a polished aluminium version. That was an easy upgrade. The access to the front suspension heads is ok - I don’t have any issues with that as I had to take the parts off (sound tube etc) to add the new brace. It’s the boot that seems like you have to remove loads of parts! Thanks.
I always end up with extra clips and bolts when done! I should video it and then work backwards when done. Just the therapy of talking about this is making me think it’s not that bad after all.
