fitting an air flow meter

My 1990 MX5 Roadster needs a new air flow meter which I have obtained second hand. Can anyone tell me how difficult or easy this is to fit? My husband is very efficient at doing brakes, exhausts, general servicing etc but he is unsure about this job - will he need any specialist tools or is it just a case of bolting it on? We have contacted a local garage who are quite happy to do the job. I would appreciate any expert opinions please!!

Easy to do. Just unbolt the old one and replacement is the reverse of the removal. Only a few bolts and a jubilee clip to undo really. A socket set and a screwdriver sould be sufficient to do the job.

I bet the garage will be happy to do the job - I wonder how much they will charge for the job?

Thank you, your advice was spot-on! It is now fitted and working
