A forum software update is scheduled for Wednesday 7 January. These will include various minor revisions but will primarily be security related and effect member logins. Some of the changes will occur during the week.
Login.
The first time you login to the forum following the update you will be prompted to enter a user name. This name will then become your permanent forum user name to help resolve issues with member anonymity.
When prompted to select the user name please choose carefully and type the name correctly as this is not a reversible process. It is anticipated that existing forum users will select their current forum display name.
All new members signing up after the update will also have to select a user name on initial sign up.
IMPORTANT.
If after the update you have any problems with getting back on to the forum then please delete all cookies and cached internet pages from you PC then try again. Using Internet Explorer thats “Tools” “Delete Browing History”…

These are to be relocated to a separate section referred to as the “Members Lounge”
Search.
The search link will be located at the head of every page and not just on the home page.
Joint Club member login.
If you have a joint Club membership and both of you are regular forum users and you wish to enable full access to the forum for the second named member then please follow these instructions;
The first named forum account should be activated and in use as a Club member account.
The second named member should open a forum only member account using the “join the forum now” link on the main account login page here;

Once the account is set up you need to notify forum admin for the account upgrade.
Send an email to forumadmin at mx5oc.co.uk. The subject line of the email must be;
“forum account upgrade”
In the email please state the following;
Club membership number,
Members names as shown on membership card,
Expiry date shown on membership card,
Identity of original forum account for first member,
Identity of second named member’s forum account.
