Has anyone any statistics to show whether the new Foums are recieving the same amout of threads/Posts that were recieved on the old forums or are the amount of threads/posts lower, which is the impression I am getting. I could be wrong or even using the forums icorrectly.>
My gut feeling says less too.
Seems reasonably dead compared to the old forum, can’t say I bother too much now. Full name given out, awkward to navigate, not a change for the better is my feeling. Al
I’ve only found this by trawling the forum - it didn’t show up as “new” or “un-read” post whichever it is…
Does seem very quiet in comparison.
Did we get any stats posted anywhere? Edit -
42 Forum headings is far too many. Added to that are the daft forum names…
What daft names ? [:^)]
Stats not much different to old forum from what I can see, depends which forum you look at. Events are going to be quieter at this time of year, technical is just as busy, shop just as active. Still plenty of members signing up, and a lot of those Club members who would never go near the old forum.
Old forum had just as many headings (don’t go count them, a lot have now been hidden!) and in my opinion the technical ones were no where near as sensibly organised. If you don’t like a section, then click on the arrow thingy and shut it so you can’t see it… It flexible enough to make it look like you want. And I rarely view it all as its straight to the unread posts link for me…
63 ish visible when the forum is locked------
Daft names - i.e. “The Briefing Room”, “The Circuit”, “The Paddock”, “The Garage”, “R & D”, “Scrutineering”, etc… - all a bit juvenile and pretentious, not to mention mis-leading.
