Fuel gauge incorrect

  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: Fuel gauge reading half full when tank is full . . . Tank sender or gauge at fault?

has anyone changed the gauge faces.

Does it go up and down with the fuel level (eg zero at half a tank)?

Gauge works fine from zero to about half but when topped up the gauge does no longer register full. The gauge has alway been slow to register fuel level since purchase 18 years ago but is getting progressively worse.

Sounds like the sender in the tank is faulty

Many thanks for info, I guess that’s MX5 parts then for a replacement.
