Hello all,
I’m trying to see if I could get a Mk1 1.6 MX5 gearbox to fit into a 1962 Lotus Elite project my dad is completing.
I’m looking for the following dimensions, if someone could help it would be very much appreciated! 
1. Diameter of bellhousing
2. Diameter of flywheel
3. Distance from the top to the bottom, e.g. from one end of the gearbox to the other, front to back.

Can’t help with the dimensions of the gearbox, but I’m very intested in the project. I owned a Special Equipment Super 95 back in 1966. Was the best car I have ever owned and I’ve owned lots. Mine had the German ZF gearbox fitted and was a really nice change, a mate who had a S1 had the MGA gearbox fitted, that was a real clunker. I’ d love to see some pics of the car. Here’s one of mine
